Professional Face and Body Painting

About

A trained artist, biologist & science teacher, Cat discovered face-painting when teaching in a UK Zoo. She kept up this hobby whilst running a SSSI Nature Reserve for pre-school to University aged students. After years of comments on the high quality of her work, she began this business.

She has been employed by air shows, music festivalszoos, car dealers, councilsP.R. AgenciesWildlife Trusts, weddings, private balls & parties, for 10 to 100,000 people!

Cat is the lead artist of the HK Youth Art Foundation’s team at the Hong Kong Rugby 7’s, considered the World’s Premiere sporting event.

Her work appears on international face-painting websites, winning critical acclaim and a few prizes. She writes for Face Paint UK, and runs a help page in the FACE Association magazine. Cat features as a step-by-step artist in Brushstrokes Online Magazine, and in Illusion Magazine galleries.

At her 1st UK Face Painting Convention, 2005 Cat won the Fancy Dress & Face competition – and liked her fairy self so much it is now her uniform!

She came 5th in the World Face Painting Awards, and assisted Bibi Freeman to 14th place in the World Body Painting Awards 2007, in Seeboden, Austria.

She was named UK Professional Face Painter of the Year at the 2007 National Face Painting Convention.

2008 saw her win Intermediate Body Painter at the Welsh Face & Body Painting Festival, and UK Body Painting  Festival Face Artist.

Cats managed to bodypaint 9 customers on 1 day on the Saturday of the HK Rugby 7’s 09 (she made the front page of the SCMP AND Young SCMP again!),  along with 3 days of intensive face art on the crowds.

She has also been running lessons & workshops in New Zealand and will again be teaching in face & body art conventions in the UK. (As well as giving private lessons.

All this with a new baby boy!

In 2009 Cat represented the UK in a 15 nation, 10 day body paint exhibition in Shanghai. She won silver in the Face Competition.
